I purchased a similar bag to this a few years ago. Because the outside material was thin that bag survived only one airline trip prior to being torn and having to be disposed of. This bag is made of much heavier material which should hold up much better. My only concerns would be the plastic handle and plastic wheels but since this was purchased for car travel that should not be an issue.
