Of course, these would be made by Cuisinart.
We kitchen mortals, who struggle to turn carrots into carrot sticks without a trip to the first-aid kit, view knives as a means to an end. They’re the things that will turn those onions and cloves of garlic and stalks of celery into something small enough to put in a soup.
Cuisinart, though? They have a lot more experience than we do, almost too much experience. After all, they basically built the modern kitchen with their appliances.
So of course they would look at something as simple as a knife set and think, “Ah, but this is a mere canvas,” and then go about building something both functional and eye-catching. Personally, we think they look pretty cool. But if they’re not your style, we understand. Just know: the whole set is only $20, and even brightly colored knives can cube a peeled potato.
