Battery leaked in battery compartment
When I received my scale, I set it aside because I know my husband would’ve been angry that I bought it. When I did finally take take it out to program it I kept finding that it was not allowing me to enter my age, which is 75. Then I was asking my husband finally to help me program it and when trying to again, it would not allow me to get my age in. Now we haven’t used it enough to drain the batteries, but all of a sudden I got a LO notification on the scale and I figured how could the batteries be low when I have when I haven’t actually even used the scale. So I shut it off and turned it on again and got the same notification that the battery was low. So I turned over the unit opened up the battery compartment only to find that one of the batteries had leaked and there was this white stuff all in there and I know that that’s an indication that the scale may not work at all since the battery leaked onto the parts. So now what can we do about this problem?
