Not a hard sole
so it is a rubber sole… but it is not a hard solid sole. It if flexible and for me hard to walk in, because it flattens out and its just an odd balance on my padded carpet. However, I am new to the slippers with soles too. Otherwise very fuzzy soft and a nice snug fit. MIght be a bit one the smaller side I am a 8.5/9 and i am right at the edge. But my last pair (different brand) I went with the rounded 9 size and they stretched out to be too big.
