Show Me Me
Let’s run through the things you only need from a makeup mirror some of the time:
Sometimes, you need the bigger picture. We’re talking your basic, full reflection with maybe a slight zoom so you don’t need to be leaning close enough to actually rub up against the thing, but also not so zoomed-in that you lose track of your whole face.
And sometimes you need the close-up. This is about precision. This is about focus areas. This is about having a magnetically attachable (which means it’s not ALWAYS there) spot that provides 10x magnification for when you need to really get deep into the application work.
Now, let’s run through the things you always need from a makeup mirror:
You always need light. Like, duh. You don’t want to spend 20 minutes putting your face on only to step into the sunlight and see that everything looks all weird. No way. You need that illumination, and you need it always. By which we mean, you need an LED that’s not going to burn out.
And you always need to save a little money. You want something that’ll help you look good, and you’re not going to look good when you’re agonizing over whether or not you should’ve spent that extra however many bucks on what amounts to a reflective surface.
Now, if only there were a makeup mirror that delivered all of this, preferably in a stylish rose-gold finish and made by a brand name you can trust.
Hmm…
