Under Pressure
The Gourmia 6-Quart Pressure Cooker claims that you can “replace an entire kitchen with this versatile one-pot wonder!” That might sound crazy if you’re unfamiliar with the culinary wizardry that is the electric pressure cooker, but trust us, it’s not far from the truth.
With 10 presets, it can cook pretty much anything, whether you’re trying to make beans, poultry, soup, beef, or sushi.
(Okay, we might have lied about the sushi. You get the point, though: this thing is versatile.)
But honestly, the best part? You already have a ton of recipes for it. Because anything that you used to make in the slow cooker or the dutch oven can instead be made in the Gourmia, and in much less time, thanks to its SpeedSense Technology.
For example, this low carb crockpot chowder recipe that we love so much? You can pretty much dump all the ingredients into your pressure cooker (we brown the chicken first, as the recipe says), seal it, and cook for about 4-6 (!!!) minutes. Same with this great carnitas recipe. Reduce the amount of water to a cup, drop it all in, mix it up, cook for 40ish minutes, let the pressure release for another 10, and you’ve got beautiful tender pork for tacos (although, we still crisp ours in the broiler).
And again, that’s possible with ANY crockpot recipe; just use a pressure cooker timing chart to adjust your cook time.
What we’re getting at here is this Gourmia 6-Quart Pressure Cooker is like a slow cooker, only, instead of loading it up before you leave for work, you can load it up when you get home and still have food on the table by dinner time. Oh, and if you still want to slow cook, it can do that too.
Now, if only you could teach it to make sushi…
