Lighten Up
We’ve been working in the yard this summer to create an outdoor oasis out back. We’ve got cozy seating, a cool firepit, and hanging string lights for added ambiance. I love the space, but walking (or should I say tripping) back to the house after dark has triggered my next bright idea and landscaping goal: a well-lit path.
Keeping my family and visitors safe is important, so the pathway lights needs to happen sooner rather than later. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, but I would like the aesthetics to coordinate with the sanctum it leads to, so I’m thinking string lights are the way to go when it comes to this type of task lighting. I’ve decided my path will follow an already landscaped area, so I can add an extra width of mulch and hang the lights low on shepherds hooks near the bushes, but If this doesn’t work for you consider hanging your lights high through the trees or on string light poles to avoid trip hazards. These affordable string lights keep our space stylish and safe so we don’t break a leg—or the bank.
