Powered by charged battery, the intensity or pulses per minute are less than a connected cord. Still effective. Heat and cool adapters not actually hot /cold. Heat might come from friction.? And cool maybe if adapter placed in freezer b4 hand. Overall, a small device that can be easily be put anywhere you need. Not too intense. Great for convenience, ease, and portability.
