Not The Real Deal, But A Real Good Deal
Let’s be very clear here: these are NOT Apple AirPods.
They look like Apple AirPods. They’re truly wireless like Apple AirPods. They have a name, ‘Airbuds,’ that is just two letters off from ‘AirPods.’ But again, we really need to stress: they are not Apple AirPods. Like, they’re definitely not as nice as AirPods, but they’re also not as expensive. And by ‘not as expensive,’ we mean: they’re less than a tenth of the price of Apple AirPods.
But, one more time for the people in the back: they are not Apple AirPods. They’re Airbuds.
Why are we making such a show of this? It’s simple: we’re a store and we need to cover our bases or else risk leaving our customers feeling mislead.
But you? You have no such obligation. You can buy these Airbuds, and no one has to know that they’re knock-offs. Just pop them in your ears and let everyone draw their own conclusion. And that conclusion will likely be: wow, there’s a person with more than $150 to spend on earbuds!
And even if someone asks you directly, “Are those Apple AirPods?” you can just reply, “They’re Airbuds,” but say the ‘buds’ part sort of quietly and really fast, so it sounds like ‘Pods.’
Okay, maybe that’s a little disingenuous.
