@PocketBrain So, uh, Luke… When you were just a little tyke, your Mom and I went on the Jerry Springer Show, because she said… well, never mind that. Uh, well, we had met in a bar and that was our first time drinking Cyrullian brandy and things just got uh, a little hazy. But I didn’t think anything had actually happened, I just remember waking up face down in the airlock with this splitting headache and most of my clothes floating somewhere in space. I don’t usually roll like that and thought that maybe she had just confused me with some other bloke in shiny black space armor. Well they did a DNA test on galactic TV and uh, this is kind of awkward… especially since you might be the only one in the known universe that doesn’t know… Turns out you really gotta watch out for that Cyrullian stuff! So now you know where to send all those Fathers Day cards.
Uh, glad we had this talk!
@stolicat -I think that if those Mountain Lions are scared by these 60 lumens flashsticks then they’re likely kitty cats who think they’re mountain lions which they often do. They say, “We were born this way, and umm,…meow!” Cats are just natural a-holes. Why? Well, they say,… you guessed it,…
@elpepe@sammydog01 Yep, no AA battery included. Looking at the tail end that screws in, it’s really easy to cross thread the thing.
And it doesn’t work with my Eneloop batteries. Peering inside the flashlight, it doesn’t have a contact that pushes against the +ve button, but rather a spring that expects to push against the metal around the “button”. For my Eneloops, everything except the button is insulated, so they don’t work in the flashlight.
Most of my alkalines have bare metal around the button, so work.
Not impressed. Even at $3 a shot. I guess they’ll be “emergency” flashlights, because I refuse to use non-rechargeable batteries in my active use flashlights.
These things are actually nicer than I thought. I ran a ribbon through the loops at the top so I can be that weirdo walking at night glowing. And I can use the flashlight to locate my dog’s poop instead of feeling around for it with my hand. Ick.
So FYI the positive end (nipple end) goes down which is a little unusual since the flat negative end usually goes on the spring. I didn’t notice the graphic inside the body until I assembled one incorrectly which made the battery warm right up
