LG PuriCare 70-Pint Dehumidifier (Refurbished)

In the normal world, this LG dehumidifier is considered a boring product. A yawner. A snoozer. But we’re not in the normal world. We’re in …

The Online Deals World.

And here people sit up in their seats when they see a large-capacity dehumidifier. Their eyes light up when they see it’s from one of the most respected brands in the appliance world. And they jump up with uncontainable excitement when they see it offered for less than $200.

Things work a little different around here, you see. When we sell a 4-stage HEPA Air Cleaner, it sells out in hours. VMP members argue in the forum about the best way to snag their exclusive ones that go on sale at 4pm ET:

this is a high demand item, you should come back at 3:58pm and prepare to write /buy in the comments as soon as 4:00:01pm hits

Incorrect! You want to have this URL open at 3:58:
Then refresh at exactly 4:00 and purchase once the item info pops up as available!
mediocrebot gets overwhelmed on high demand items, so safer to do it manually when it counts.

That’s right, the sale of a large boxy gadget that affects the air in your home is considered a time “when it counts” around here. It’s not a time for frivolity or snarkiness. This is the real deal, people.

Just as a pile of elephant droppings disgusts us but entices the dung beetle, so too does this electronic water tank on wheels seem unappealing to those not in the Online Deals World. But to those who frequent this strange place, nothing could be sexier than a quality dehumidifier at a stellar price.

However, the denizens of this world can be fickle in their whims. They might scramble and claw over one another in a desperate attempt to dehumidify their finished basements with this LG, but you never know. We’ve been studying their behavior for years and it often surprises us. We could sell out of these in 2 hours, or we could sell 2 of them all day.

Someday we’ll understand this world. We’ll learn why so many of its inhabitants are so concerned with fighting mold and mildew in their rumpus rooms. But until then we’ll look on with curiosity, amazement, and slight concern.

Features

  • Use this LG dehumidifier to suck 70 pints of meddlesome water from the air per day
  • Protect your most humid areas from mold, mildew, and bacteria (not those areas)
  • Save time and energy with auto humidity controls, auto restart, timers, and other features that make sense if you’ve used a dehumidifier
  • Connect to a drain hose if you’d rather not empty the water bucket from time to time
  • Model: UD701KOG1 (We checked to see if this excellent model number owns the first page of search results (it does) and learned that Google has dramatically increased the length of its search pages. At least, it has for us on the account and browser we checked it on. We applaud LG for their model numbership and Google for making change that benefits customers at the cost of ad revenue.)
