Pillow Talk
Home wares come in a wide range of timelines—some things like dish sponges and air fresheners need to be replaced every couple of weeks, while other things like light bulbs and dryer balls can last a few years. Then there are the things like cast iron skillets and fine china which are passed down through multiple generations.
But what about sheets? We scoured the Internet in search of some best practices regarding our bedding and found some dreamy answers. First of all, many sites recommended replacing your sheets every 2-3 years. Honestly, that seemed a bit soon, so I dug a little deeper and found out that with proper care they can last much longer, especially high quality sheets like this rayon from bamboo set.
Washing your sheets on the regular is a must if you want your them to last, and who doesn’t love that fresh and clean feeling of slipping into a crispy set of clean sheets at night? Use a mild detergent and skip the fabric softener, as it can weaken the fibers, then dry on low and go old school giving them a once over with the iron. When you notice wear and tear, toss them in the rag pile and treat yourself to a new sheets.
